If you're looking to have a piece of jewellery valued that was not created by Durham Rose but by another retailer, please note that our valuation services may differ. Due to the complexity of the process and the limited information available, a more detailed assessment is required to provide an accurate valuation. For the first item, the valuation fee is £125, with an additional charge of £70 for each subsequent piece.

To ensure we provide an accurate and thorough valuation, please include the following with your jewellery as these documents will help us offer a comprehensive and precise valuation of your jewellery.

• The piece(s) you wish to have valued

• Any certification or gemological reports

• Previous valuation reports (if applicable)

• Purchase invoices

• Any other relevant documents related to the piece

Our valuation process is thorough, ensuring that every aspect of your piece is carefully examined. We assess the metal, gemstones, and overall craftsmanship, as well as the piece’s historical or designer value if applicable.

When you receive your jewellery valuation, it will include a comprehensive and detailed report that covers:

• A thorough description of the piece(s), including the type of metal, gemstones, weight, and other defining features

• The current market value is based on up-to-date market conditions

• High-resolution photographs of your jewellery, capturing every intricate detail

• A complete assessment of the piece's condition and authenticity, including any special characteristics or craftsmanship

• A 3D scan of your piece(s) that we securely keep on file. Should you ever lose or need to replace your item, we can easily recreate it for you, ensuring an exact match to the original.

Timeline:  Our valuation process typically takes 7-10 business days, depending on the complexity and number of pieces being appraised. Valuations are available by appointment only, so please ensure you schedule your consultation in advance.
